Top 10 Franchise List For Referrals ​

Ok, we know that you were really hoping for that coveted list of "Top 10 Franchises" that you can rest comfortably with at night. The list of "perfect franchises" that only a fool or the criminally insane would not want to join. 
 
Well, a single and complete list doesn't really exist. 17 years ago when I went through training to become a franchise broker, I asked my trainer for his list of top franchises. Just 3 months later, I probably agreed with less than half of his picks. 6 months after that, even less.
Having worked with literally several hundred brokers over the years, we can tell you that everyone list is different, but the points below should be kept in mind:
  1. What is their initial and total investment? 
  2. How long have they been franchising? 
  3. How many units do they have sold and open? More units open is better, traditionally, but not always. 
  4. Do they have many multi-unit owners? 
  5. Do they have an established and refined Discovery Process? 
  6. Does the person that you are working with at the franchise company really know what they are doing? This may seem silly, but it isn't-seasoned Referral Partners understand this concern. 
  7. Would you place a family member into that franchise? If not, why would you consider it for your client? 
These are some of the factors that impact which franchises are shown to clients. Of course there are other factors-including and primarily your client's needs, wants, and preferences!
